THE POWER OF MEDITATION
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).
Meditation is one of the most powerful principles in the Word of God. It’s the spiritual process that causes the Word to move from your mind into your spirit, where it becomes a living force. Through meditation, the Word moves from information to revelation and from revelation to manifestation. Your life becomes the living epitome of the Word.
Meditating on the Word goes beyond merely thinking the Word in your mind; it involves muttering, talking under your breath until it dominates your consciousness. This is an important key to permanent and undeniable success, as read in our opening scripture.
From muttering the Word in meditation, you’re to graduate to the third and higher level of meditation, which is to shout or roar (Hebrew — Hagah). You constantly “roar” the Word in victory and celebration. It produces boldness, faith and insight. These and more are the benefits of meditation. It aligns your thoughts with God’s thoughts and synchronises your words with His will.
The more you meditate, the more the Word dominates your senses, emotions and circumstances. Soon, you see and speak as God does, and the impossible becomes possible. Don’t allow a day to pass without meditating on the Word. Set time apart to ponder the Scriptures, speak them aloud, and visualise their fulfilment in your life. As you do, the Word will energise your spirit and produce in and for you what it talks about. Hallelujah!
PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for causing your Word to dwell in me richly, bringing ineffable blessings to my life. My spirit is energised, my mind is renewed, and I walk in divine wisdom, strength and success; your Word in my heart and in my mouth is my advantage and my guarantee of non-stop progress in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
